- Solicitors must have permits and are allowed to solicit between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm. Free “No soliciting” signs are available to residents and can be picked up at the police department. If a solicitor is at your door at any time other than the approved times noted above, or if a solicitor does not have a permit, contact the Frisco Police Department non-emergency numberat 972-292-6010.
Garage Sales - Garage Sale Signs do not require the issuance of a Sign Permit. Garage Sale Signs may be displayed as early as 9 a.m. Saturday the weekend of the garage sale and must be removed by 6 p.m. on the Sunday of the weekend of the garage sale. Garage Sale Signs cannot be larger than six (6) square feet in total area and cannot be displayed during weekdays.
Garage Sale Signs are allowed to be installed on private residential property with the consent of the property owner. Do not place Garage Sale Signs on fences, poles, trees or railings. Make sure the signs do not contain any balloons, streamers or similar materials. Garage Sale Signs must not block drivers’ visibility and should be placed 10 to 15 feet from the curb or street pavement. Do not decorate and/or park a vehicle at an intersection, or place signs on a vehicle, to advertise for a garage sale.
